Grammar Watch

  • Language Description Heritage (LDH) compiled by the Max Planck Society, Germany, specifically at the MPI for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig in cooperation with the Max Planck Digital Library in Munich
  • Etnolinguistica.org dissertation library where freely-available theses and dissertations are listed
  • ALT publishes information on recently published grammars and family/area surveys as such works are of special interest to typologists. We are working on a web form where ALT members can enter new works of this kind in an online database. Until the from appears, we present a list of grammars and similar works in pdf format, compiled by a group of ALT grammar watchers coordinated by Frans Plank.
  • Curt Nimuendaju digital library, offers hard-to-find, out-of-print books and articles
  • Another useful resource on currently existing grammars can be found in the work of Harald Hammarström in his Handbook of Descriptive Language Knowledge. A version of this work has also been published by LINCOM Europe.
